Walk the house.
Report writes itself.
Dictate findings and snap photos during your walkthrough. Fieldnote turns it into a polished 25-page report in 60 seconds — ready to email before you leave the driveway.
No credit card. Works on any phone.
How it works
Three steps. No template wrangling, no typing after dinner.
Talk through the house
Open Fieldnote on your phone. Tap the section you're in (Roof, Plumbing, Electrical...). Dictate what you see like you'd tell your apprentice.
Snap photos as you go
Tap the camera button. Photos auto-tag to the current section. No folder-naming, no organizing. Keep moving.
Generate & send
At the end, tap Generate. In 60 seconds, you have a branded PDF with findings, severities, photos, and recommendations. Email it from the app.
“Cut report writing from 4 hours to 20 minutes of review. I get my Saturdays back.”

Questions
Will it replace Spectora or HomeGauge?
For most solo inspectors, yes. Fieldnote generates the same style of 25-page narrative report with photos, severities, and recommendations. You can import your existing template branding.
What happens in basements or crawlspaces with no signal?
Recording works offline. Photos and audio queue locally and upload when you're back in signal. The report generates once everything's uploaded.
Can I edit the AI's output before sending?
Yes. After generation, you review every finding in a list view, edit wording, change severity, add or remove items, and reorder. Then you send.
Is my data secure?
All recordings and reports are encrypted at rest and in transit. Your data is never used to train models. You can export or delete everything at any time.
How accurate is the transcription?
We use industry-leading speech recognition. In normal inspection environments, accuracy is 95%+. The review step lets you fix the rare mistake.
